Brooksby Equestrian Centre

At BMC we are delighted to be able to open our fully functional Equestrian Centre to the public. The centre is available for private hire throughout the year and the team are extremely experienced at hosting large external events such as pony clubs, dressage competitions and many other riding events.

Each year over 500 students take part in The British University Sports Association equestrian competitions and Brooksby Equestrian Centre hosts regular regional competitions with college horses competing at the nationals.

Riding Lessons

Riding lessons are available at weekends and during college holiday breaks. Private and group lessons are also available, the minimum age for lessons is 5 years, and maximum weight limit is 14 stones.

Pony Club

Brooksby Equestrian Centre is a Pony Club Centre for non pony owning children. We run weekly and monthly rallies including ridden or stable management, dressage or show jumping sessions and pony days and weeks during the school holidays.

Facilities include:

- 36 stables all with rubber matting

- 2 Indoor riding schools, one 60 metre x 30 metre and an adjacent smaller school, both surfaced by Martin Collins

- Outdoor 20 metre x 40 metre ménage

- Cross country courses suitable for training Intro and Pre-novice Levels

- Show jumps available for private hire

- Weighing bridge

- Treatment box
