Melton Theatre
The theatre was refurbished during the summer of 2009 and its 340 seat auditorium is a great asset for the college and all our Performing Arts and Media students, who have the opportunity to learn, train and deliver pieces in the auditorium. The theatre features a large stage with optional orchestra pit, a full counter weight flying rig and an adaptable lighting and sound system.
The Melton theatre was built over 25 years ago and has supported many college and community ventures plus other touring productions and large scale tribute acts. Guests who have performed at the theatre recently include: Ken Dodd, Ed Byrne and other comics as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival.
The BMC Performing Arts and Media Academy host a yearly full scale production, we have recently performed Grease, Fame, Rent and the Return to the Forbidden Planet.
