Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs Grade C or above including Maths and English. Introduction to Gardening at merit level. Mature students are accepted on an individual basis depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Land based machinery operations
  • Undertake and review work experience in the land based industries
  • Undertake identification, selection and use of ornamental plants
  • Construct horizontal landscape surfaces
  • Construct and restore walls
  • Establish and manage exterior displays
  • Manage plant propagation activities
  • Understand the principles and practices of landscape and garden design

Career Progression

You’ll have a knowledge base for a wide range of practical careers in both the amenity and commercial horticultural industry, including self employment, or entry to higher level qualification.
