Introduction to Gardening

This is a very practical programme covering a broad range of sectors within the industry. You will gain the practical skills and knowledge required to enter the industry at a fast pace and cover a variety of areas including amenity horticulture, landscape, machinery operation and lawn maintenance.

4 GCSEs at Grade D or above including English or Maths.

Career Progression

You’ll find a pathway onto the Further Horticulture or Advanced Horticulture. Former students who find employment within the industry in areas such as: landscape gardening, green keeping and working at botanical gardens, as well as working in garden centres and working with commercial growers.
