Advanced Dance
| This course develops skills in a variety of styles, from current trends in Contemporary and Urban, to more classical styles such as America Tap and Ballet. Students are encouraged to explore all areas of dance and the performing arts, and each project culminates in a showcase in the Theatre. Theoretical understanding is also developed in preparation for Higher Education or vocational work. The students’ 2 years leads to a final project in which all their skills are showcased in a large scale production - students explore characterisation, narrative, set, props and the specific movement techniques studied; past productions include unique interpretations of Swan Lake and Edward Scissorhands. |
