Brooksby Melton College would like to invite you to Open Farm Day on Sunday 11th June from 10am – 3pm at BMC’s Brooksby Campus.
This FREE event welcomes members of the public to Brooksby’s arable and livestock farm to spend the day learning what it’s like on a UK farm. This is a fantastic event for all the family, with plenty of attractions suitable for all ages available throughout the day.
For those who are interested in plant cultivation, a tour of BMC’s state-of-the-art glasshouses, picturesque gardens, and farm grounds will provide an interesting and insightful look into the wonderful world of horticulture. If you are more interested in arts and crafts, our rural craft demonstrations will be perfect for you. You will also have a chance to browse a wide range of perennial, herbaceous and annual plants at the plant shop.
If you are bringing young children to the event there are plenty of attractions to keep them busy. With an opportunity to meet the farm animals, have a photo on a tractor, and tour the farm grounds, your little ones are sure to have a fantastic day at BMC.
The event also includes a barbecue, so don’t forget to stop by to re-fuel during the day!
Open Farm Sunday is an annual nation-wide event managed by LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming). The event encourages farmers from across the country to open their farms to the public to show the wide range of work that farmers do.
