“I really enjoyed being able to work more independently; it gave me a chance to find out what kind of performer I am and focus on the aspects I enjoy most.”

“My favourite part of this year has been playing the Mad Hatter in our own innovative performance and doing my own voice over dub for one of my favourite Anime films.”

“I’m going to University this year to continue learning about performing. I hope to become a professional voice actor and work in animation and games possibly overseas, before pursuing a career in TV acting in the UK.”

Did you know that Parminder started her performing days right here at BMC? Shortly after this, she joined the cast of ER, where she has been a mainstay ever since. In 2007, Parminder was awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctors of Letters by the University of Leicester.

At the moment I'm so lucky Disney has come along, I feel unbelievably privileged.

Amy joined BMC after spending her younger years in Kibworth, South Leicestershire. She starred in many amateur dramatic productions, including Wind in the Willows, Pocahontas and Romeo and Juliet. She has walked the boards of the famous Leicester Haymarket Theatre, where many famous stage and screen actors have taken their first steps to fame.

"BMC quite literally changed the course of my life"

Adrian joined the college when it was known as the Melton College of Further Education, he told us: “In all of my education I was most happy at Melton College. I was not particularly academic, and Drama in those days was regarded either as a dead-end job for wasters, or as a hopeless pipe dream. My time at school had not been easy, so when I finally got to do what I’d wanted to do for years, it was so stimulating and satisfying. The tutors were incredibly committed and pushed us very hard. I owe them enormous gratitude for their encouragement and care. They quite literally changed the course of my life. I loved it! I went on to continue my training at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School”
