I really enjoyed my time studying at BMC and after I completed the Advanced Film making course I decided to come back and am now about to start the second year of the HND Film and Video making.

I did actually go to another university but really didn’t like it and couldn’t wait to get back to BMC.

I am really interested in sound on screen. I feel that a lot of people place so much importance on visual effects, when really the sound-scapes and musical score can be just as important in a film or video. Try watching a horror film without sound - it’s not even scary!”

“I think the tutors are incredible, their knowledge and the way they teach is unique and really works for me, they are supportive and encouraging and I reckon I’ll be able to forge a really successful future for myself thanks to everything they’ve taught me so far.”

I had a great 2 years, the facilities at Melton are brilliant.

Richard has held one of the most sought after jobs in the theatre industry, for the past 12 years he has been working as stage manager for the RSC. He has seen many stars walk the boards, but every performance is still nerve wrecking, he likens himself to “a coiled spring” waiting for that one difficult situation to arise. He started a new role last year on the Bridge Project with The Old Vic and Brooklyn Academy of Music. The transatlantic company, half American and half British, are doing ‘As You Like It’ and ‘Tempest’ directed by the critically acclaimed Sam Mendes. The company are rehearsing and opening in New York, before heading off on an international tour before playing the Old Vic in London.
