The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) introduced new arrangements to First Aid training on 1 October 2009. The First Aid at Work course now takes place over 3 days with a 2 day Revalidation course still required every 3 years. The HSE strongly recommend that all qualified First Aiders (including Appointed Persons) complete an annual refresher course to maintain their basic skills and to keep up to date with any changes to First Aid procedures.
