Students on the Leicester Tigers Academic and Sporting Excellence (AASE) programme at BMC will have the opportunity to compete at the highest level of college rugby, playing in the nationally recognised AASE league, whilst completing your studies in one of a range of engaging BTEC courses, including Sport, Sport Science and Agriculture.
Studying an Extended BTEC Diploma helps to promote presentation skills, essay writing and research methods, all of which are transferable into employment and university. The course offers a maximum of 168 UCAS points, which is the equivalent of 3 A* grades at A Level.
BMC has created the perfect package to take you to the next level of sporting and academic performance. As part of the AASE Programme, we have designed a programme that will support and challenge you as you transition on to a higher level of performance. The programme offers access to professional services including strength and conditioning coaching, nutritional advice, video analysis and physiotherapy.
A Week in the Life
A typical week for an AASE student can vary depending on the week. Academic and sporting timetables are carefully designed to ensure that the players get the maximum amount of contact time with tutors, coaches and support staff to further aid their development.
The Big BMC Transformation has brought state-of-the-art facilities to the Brooksby campus and has directly benefited sport students. This includes:
