Further Education means post-compulsory education. So when you have finished your GCSEs you’ll be likely to start looking at these courses at college.
BMC offers vocational courses, this means they are very hands-on and practical with work experience; they are heavily focused on getting students into the workplace or progressing them onto a higher level course.
The majority of these courses are BTEC courses, from level 1, to level 2, through to level 3 subsidiary (one year) and extended (two years).
The level 3 Extended Courses are the equivalent of A-levels and offer UCAS credits needed to go to university.
Further Education isn’t just for school-leavers though, we welcome adult students on a variety of our courses and our student body is made up of many people from many age groups, so it is a really nice mix.
