Minibus Driver (Part Time/Term Time Only)
Permanent position working 30 hours per week
6.30am-9.30am and 4pm-7.00pm (Monday – Friday)
35 weeks per year
Salary: £9870 per annum (including consolidated holiday pay)
An opportunity has arisen for a College Minibus Driver to join our enthusiastic Transport Team at Brooksby Melton College.
The successful applicant will be required to operate a college route transporting students to and from college, and provide an internal minibus shuttle service across campus at each end of the college day. Experience of passenger carrying in a previous role would be advantageous.
You should hold a full, clean, D1 (or D1-101) category driving licence or PCV licence, and your updated driving licence information (available by visiting https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence) will be required at interview. A MiDAS training certificate would be extremely beneficial, and a basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and health and safety in the workplace would also be an advantage.
Experience of working with young people in an education setting, together with an awareness of safeguarding guidelines would be a distinct advantage, however training and full guidance will be provided. You should be self–motivated, with confident communication skills and a can-do attitude at all times. You should be able to demonstrate a very flexible and accommodating approach towards students and staff and be keen to maintain our excellent customer service standards.
