Brooksby Melton College is a specialist vocational Further and Higher Education provider in Leicestershire, spread across two main campuses – one in the heart of the lively market town of Melton Mowbray and the other on an 850-acre estate at Brooksby.

The College received a “Good” Ofsted judgement in 2016 and our objective is to be judged an “Outstanding” College within the next five years. As part of this journey, both our campuses have undergone a £27m redevelopment, bringing new facilities and improved environments for all our students and staff.

The college has seen significant investment in practical and teaching facilities within our departments benefitting from brand new state of the art facilities. We are proud of the fact that our student achievement is the highest in the East Midlands for 16-18 year olds studying level 3 provision.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced work based learning, Training Officer in Care and Early Years to join our team. The successful applicant will teach and assess across a range of Work based learning courses in both Support Teaching and Learning and Early Years educator qualifications from level 2 – level 4.

It is desirable to have experience in delivering the apprenticeship route and have experience, knowledge and skills of the new standard pathways and the end point assessment model.

The successful applicant must be self – motivated, ambitious, confident and proactive with excellent communication skills as well as being able to demonstrate an ability to deliver high quality provision, learning and assessment in this curriculum area.

The post holder must have experience in managing a caseload and hold suitable industry qualifications as well as Assessing qualification. IQA / V1 awards or equivalent will be advantageous or be willing to work towards.
