BMC Sport Student Selected for the Antigua and Barbuda U20 Team!

BMC Sport student, Cole Wildin, has had the honour of being selected to play for the Antigua and Barbuda Under 20 football team at a tournament in Miami.

So far, the team have excelled in both of their games, securing a 6-1 win against St. Martin and a 1-0 win against Belize.

Cole studies Level 3 Sport at BMC, where he benefits from learning in state-of-the-art facilities at the Brooksby Campus. These multi-million pound facilities include a full-sized 3G all-weather pitch, strength and conditioning gym, and a sports science lab featuring a GPS tracking system, force platforms and VO2 max testing equipment.

Andy Graham, Sport Lecturer at BMC, said ‘This is such a fantastic achievement for Cole and we are proud to be supporting him through the start of his football career. He is a talented footballer and an excellent academic. Cole initially began his studies as part of the BMC Football Academy and, after having a successful season with them, is now continuing onto the Mansfield Town Academy programme here at BMC.’

BMC offers a range of Sport courses, from Level 2 through to Degree level. In addition, the college works in partnership with Mansfield Town FC and Leicester Tigers to provide sports academies, which allow talented young athletes to study a nationally recognised qualification in Sport whilst training for up to 10 hours per week with professional coaches and competing at an elite level.
