Enrichment – Arcadia in Full Bloom!

This term, our Level 3 Horticulture students had the opportunity to get involved with Chatsworth’s ‘Arcadia in Full Bloom’ project!

Students got involved with some of the planting for this project, which aims to eventually plant 250,000 flowering perennials, shrubs and trees in the previously undeveloped 15-acre area now known as Arcadia.

They also had the honour of meeting Tom Stuart-Smith, a multiple Gold medal winning Garden Designer. Tom gave the students some great tips for working in the industry, and spoke about the importance of gaining hands-on experience. Tom is a big advocate of vocational courses and applauded BMC’s emphasis on work experience and building industry knowledge.
